Lampreys/Lamprey eels explanation

Lampreys and how their body works.

The google definition of lamprey eels. Lampreys/Lamprey eels are an ancient extant lineage of jawless fish of the order Petromyzontiformes, placed in the superclass Cyclostomata. The adult lamprey may be characterized by a toothed, funnel-like sucking mouth. ... The plural form lamprey is sometimes seen.

The features of  lampreys are slimy, Jawless, scale-less, Bone less, and slender. How they stay on to the fish/animal that they bite onto they have a circle like sucker that they latch onto their prey. Then they use their tongue to break through the fish scales after they break that they start eating the meat. After they eat the meat they start sucking the blood(Not a lot of species of lampreys suck the blood). Some people call the lamprey an underwater vampire/leech because they slowly drain the blood out of the fish’s body.

The mouth of a lamprey is one of the weirdest mouths in the animal kingdom therefore it can do some weird stuff right?

The reason that lampreys are very weird is because of evolution and evolution led to a very very strange and weird fish. One of the weird things about the lamprey is that it doesn't have a jaw. The reason that lampreys does not have a jaw is a result of millions of years of evolution. I’ll list some of the weird things about a lamprey. First kind of weird thing is that lampreys don’t eat with their teeth they break up the meat with their tongue then they break that chunk of meat with their Pharyngeal teeth(or throat teeth).

Another reason why lampreys are weird is that they are one of the only 2 families (with 50 species in each family) of jawless fish and they are hagfish and are good friend lamprey eels.

Bruno's dairy

 13th may 1941

This is based on The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas because my class and I are reading the book.

It was around 1:10 to 2:50 pm after lunch and I was bored so I was looking around the house of course not near dads office tho because that is out of bounds for all times. Sadly i couldn't find anything to do or anywhere to play so i went to my room disappointed. After the slow walk up stairs i got to my room and i looked around and i decided to just look out the window and i did but there was something disturbing outside it i saw a large iron fence and the occasion pole along the way and i looked but a little and i saw something more disturbing that sent chills down my spine. The thing that I saw was skinny old and young people. That was the worst thing I saw in my life, all of them getting yelled at and beat by soldiers near them.

4 truths 1 lie

 four truths one lie

In class our teachers played four truths one lie so i thought i might as well do this.

I had to go to the ER( emergency room) 3 times.
In my whole life i had 5 dogs 4 fish 4 hamsters and 1 cat so 14 pets in my whole life.
I've gotten hitten by a tree in the head.
I don't know what to put here.
Most times when i get a pet for myself they live the longest.

How earthquakes work

This is my explanation work my whole class did an explanation like this.

How earthquakes work

This is the google definition of an earthquake. An earthquake

is the shaking of the surface of the Earth resulting from a

sudden release of energy in the Earth's lithosphere that

creates seismic waves. The best move is getting under a

strong table or desk.

If no sturdy object is available, get next to an interior

wall with no windows.

Earthquakes are mostly caused when fault plates suddenly

break along a fault. This sudden release of energy causes

the earthquake. When two fault plates are pushing against

each other, they stick a little out and if they push hard

enough they can make volcanoes.

It is safer upstairs. In major earthquakes, it is usually safer

upstairs than being on ground level. It can be dangerous

trying to run hastily downstairs.

Stay inside your house or the house you are in until the

shaking stops and it is safe to exit. Stay away from

anything that might fall on you. Stay away from anything

that can break or is sharp. If you wake up because of the

earthquake, try to find the doorway and stay in the

doorway till the earthquake ends.

Earthquakes sometimes last about. About, only seconds.

Big or large earthquake typically lasts about 10 to 30

seconds.

Readjustments in the earth cause more earthquakes

that can occur again and stop then start again for a long

amount of time and can go for weeks or months.

The surface where they slip is called the fault or

called fault plates. The location below the earth's surface

where the earthquake starts is called the hypocenter, and

the location directly above it on the surface of the earth is

called the epicenter.

My speech.

And this is the words.
I had a good time doing it but i did not want to do it at all.
My brother helped me with a large amount.

What is a red lipped batfish?

Have you ever seen a red lipped batfish or a Galapagos batfish? Have you ever even heard about it? Well regardless of whether or not you have or haven’t, I'm going to be talking about them today. This fish is so strange and flabbergasting, with its unreal body shape, but looks nothing like this (the image in the slideshow)

(Next slide)

This is the Red Lipped Batfish!

(Next slide)

The scientific name of red lipped batfish was given to it by Charles Darwin, who was best known for his contribution to the science of evolution.

(click)

The name it’s best known by was given to the fish for its lips that make it look like it’s wearing bright red lipstick.

(click)

The red lipped batfish is a bottom dweller which means it lives on the seafloor. The batfish is a poor swimmer, which is quite ironic given that it's a fish. This is because it has adapted to walk on the ocean floor, using its pectoral fins for support.

(click)

The red lipped batfish is part of the anglerfish family. This is because of its lure-like projection that sticks out on the bat fish's head.

(click)

It uses this projection to lure in fish, like a fisherman with a fishing rod.

(Next slide)

The Red lipped batfish is carnivorous. It’s diet mainly consists of shrimps, small fish, and crabs,  as well as other small sea creatures found on the ocean floor.

(Next slide)

Finally, I wish to share with you my experience when I first met a red lipped batfish with my family. Here’s a very real photo of my siblings and I hanging out with Bob the red lipped batfish.

Thank you for listening to my speech, does anyone have any questions or comments?

Something I am proud of...

The thing I am most proud of is going to a world wonder. Because not a lot of people get to see a world wonder and world wonders are beautiful. Angkor wat it was built in 12th century. I went there in 2019 and feel really lucky that I got to see it.
